JAROMATIC is a superior small appliance designed to open all jars & bottles with twist-off lids, from 1" to 12" high, and up to 5-1/4" diameter. Opens jars and bottles with the push of a button. Glass, plastic, metal, odd shape, small or large, with either metal or plastic lids. One hand operation, with absolutely no strength or effort needed. Just place the jar or bottle in the appliance, close the safety door, press the button, and the JAROMATIC will open it and break the safety seal. Even opens most safety-lid medicine bottles!
HOW IT WORKS:
This patented appliance uses a small motor to turn a threaded rod. This causes the actuating head to travel down inside the appliance. When it reaches the lid to be opened, the down force is converted to rotational motion. It only applies enough down force to overcome the resistance of turning the lid. By holding the button, it continues to rotate, breaking the safety seal and unscrewing the lid in one operation.
JAROMATIC is safe for anyone to use, even children and disabled persons.
The rotating safety door must be closed for the appliance to work, and is physically impossible to open while in operation.
95% of this simple mechanism can be made from injection-molded plastic. A steel guide rod & 4 rollers, along with the small motor are the only metal parts. This puts the production costs and assembly at less than $8.00. Great profit potential at $39.95.

I have tried for over 10 years to get this much needed product into production, without success. My latest CAD designed and CNC built prototype works quite well. With a little more design and material selection, it would be ready for production.
